Education
2002, Bachelor of Science, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Cornell University; 2008, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University; 2010, Doctor of Philosophy, College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University
Experience
I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow studying viral evolution, and hope to one day obtain a faculty position where I can continue to teach and do research. I enjoy teaching and mentoring students, and tutoring provides me with an opportunity to continue working with students while I complete my postdoctoral training. I have mentored both high school and college students in the laboratory, and was a teaching assistant for a number of classes at Cornell, including autotutorial introductory biology; vertebrate structure, function, and evolution; exotic avian husbandry; and virology. I have trained veterinary students in anesthesia and surgery procedures, and have served as a tutor in the veterinary infectious disease curriculum. I also completed Cornell's Future Faculty Fellows Program, which provided a year-long course and practicum in higher education and pedagogy.
